September 26th, 2006 by SteveSurprise, surprise (Or not). Emboldened by gains in restricting abortion access, the anti-choice movement is now training their sites on contraception. You gotta love the doublethink that’s involved with the people who say this:
“Contraception is more the root cause of abortion than anything else,” Joseph Scheidler, an anti-abortion veteran whose Pro-Life Action League sponsored the conference, said in an interview. [emphasis mine]
I… wha??? Contraception prevents abortion. If you’re using contraception, you’re not having unwanted pregnancies, and thus not needing an abortion. I guess every sperm really is sacred…
