Better and Better!

April 14th, 2005 by Steve

Ladies and Gentleman, say hello to your House Majority Leader!

Mr. DeLay: Not zealous. I blame Congress over the last 50 to 100 years for not standing up and taking its responsibility given to it by the Constitution. The reason the judiciary has been able to impose a separation of church and state that’s nowhere in the Constitution is that Congress didn’t stop them. The reason we had judicial review is because Congress didn’t stop them. The reason we had a right to privacy is because Congress didn’t stop them.

Apparently Mr. DeLay never passed elementary school, or he would have known that judicial review has been in existence SINCE THE 1800’s!!!!! Actually Mr. DeLay, the Separation of Church and State is implicitly defined in the Constitution; read some Madison and Jefferson; they wrote the bloody amendment!

And the right to privacy is a bad thing? I guess that means Mr. DeLay does want a police state. After all, “if you’re not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about” [/snark].
