Alan Keyes tells the infertile to “go [cheney] yourselves”

September 4th, 2004 by Steve

“Marriage as an institution involves procreation.”

uh… this is one of the worst arguments against gay marriage… actually they all suck, for the most part. But since Republican Illinois (Illin-WAH?) senatorial candidate Alan Keyes brought it up, I’d like to easily refute this: According to this logic, infertile couples, couples who do not wish to have children, and elderly couples may not marry. Better start calling the states up and get amendments banning marriages that do not have children as the primary goal. Remember, conservatives think that “love has very little to do with marriage.”
